Sara Escribano
(Madrid, Spain, 1988)

Engineer and artist, currently based in Hamburg.
Multidisciplinary artist, producer of large format installations, site-specific art, street interventions and expanded photography.

Through my artistic practice I seek to create encounters, the existing reality turns into a playground in which I invite the other to play with me, to open a dialogue, a new process, a new reality.
I am interested in being in an encounter with others in our shared reality, in opening a process of questioning the everyday gaze and visual environment and spaces which it is subjected to.

Being analog photography my artistic origin, my means of expression evolve and adapt in each art piece; sometimes I use embroidery as an intervention technique and others space and street itself helps me to generate spontaneous and ephemeral works.
Space and site- specific pieces have become main topics in my art.

Currently investigating unexpected dialogues, choreographies and the play of light through everyday spaces.
